This project aims to provide hands-on engineering practice covering the entire workflow from ground station communication systems to on-orbit data analysis.
The practical implementation includes assisting in the establishment of a ground station system and integrating Software Defined Radio (SDR) with antenna control systems to enable orbital tracking and signal acquisition. Subsequently, the project focuses on analyzing real telemetry data from satellite subsystems—including the Electrical Power System (EPS), Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS), and thermal data—and cross-referencing these with pre-launch integration and testing records to evaluate the satellite’s on-orbit performance.
Finally, raw payload packets will be decoded and translated into scientifically meaningful data with physical interpretations.
By executing a real-world space mission workflow, this project will validate the architectural design of both ground and satellite systems and propose corresponding improvements. Based on these results, a feasible mission and system integration architecture for future 6U communication CubeSats will be established. Furthermore, the project will optimize existing flight and ground control software, enabling future CubeSat missions to be executed more efficiently and with higher precision.
